Air freight questions.
How is air freight priced?
By chargeable weight: the higher of the actual weight and the volume weight. Bulky, light cargo is charged on its size. Send us the dimensions of each piece and we will calculate it.
Is air freight worth it over sea?
For urgent, small or high-value cargo, often yes: you save days or weeks and hold less stock. For heavy or bulky cargo, sea is usually far cheaper. We can quote both.
Can you clear my air shipment on arrival?
Yes. We prepare the clearance file before the flight lands, so the cargo can be released as soon as customs allows.
Does ACI apply to air cargo?
Yes. Since 1 January 2026, air imports into Egypt need an ACID number, and your supplier must upload the documents at least 8 hours before take-off. We set it up with you when we book.
